Notes from your School Psychologist, Dr. Debbie Nastasi

Congratulations, we all made it through the month of August and our return to school! Far those of you who are returning to our school, welcome back. For those of you who are new, welcome! There are just a few bits of information I want you to have this month.

Parenting Classes are starting in September. If you haven't registered and want to do so, there is a form for you to fill out and return on the back of this news letter. Please note that the last day to return the form is September 12th, however, only 8 families will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. So send your registration in today to hold a place for your family. This six-week class is really a bargain at $20.00 per family.

Once again, Nativity will be offering the Rainbows program. If your child has experienced a loss, whether from death of a loved one, a divorce, a move from one school or city to another, or any other loss, you might want to sign your child up far this group. Again, group size is limited, therefore it is important to sign your child up quickly. You can call me at 432- 2269 or send me a note at the school for more information.

Our BUCKS program is up and running. Teachers have been "catching students being good" since the beginning of the school year. Our first pass sale will be September 6th and our first store will be September 13th. Please keep the store in mind when you are cleaning out toys and other items children would like to buy. We can always use donations. If you want to volunteer to help, we can use your help too!

Finally, if you would like to speak with me personally, I am at Nativity on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. until 4p.m. l would lave to visit with you or help you with issues concerning your child.
