October 10, 2002
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As you well know, due to the recent Tropical Storm Isidore and Hurricane Lili, we have missed three days of school. In the State of Mississippi, we are required to make up these days in order to maintain our school year of 180 days.
After looking at our various options and discussing these with our faculty members, staff members and School Board members, school WILL be in session on:
| Monday | October 21, 2002 |
| Monday | February 17, 2003 |
| Friday | May 30, 2003 |
Tentatively, the following schedule will be followed for that last week of May (along with the regular routine of the school day):
|
Wednesday |
May 28, 2003 | PreK/Kdg Celebration | 9 a.m. |
| Thursday | May 29, 2003 | Gr. 6 Celebration | 10 a.m. |
| Friday | May 30, 2003 | Final day of school | Noon dismissal |
Hopefully, these changes in our school calendar will not cause too many inconveniences. Certainly, we are all very thankful and grateful to God that the storms did not cause greater damage to our area and we join in prayer for those who are still recovering from the effects of the storms.
May God continue to bless us as we work together.
Sincerely,
/s Sister Mary Jo
