Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are a people of prayer and of hope. As we continue to watch world events unfold, we would like to do something in response to out world situation and in support of our military families.
We will gather each Wednesday morning, starting tomorrow March 19th, at 8:10am around our flag pole. There, we will pray the prayer for peace, offer a special prayer for our military personnel and around the world (especially family members of our students who are currently deployed) and have the raising of our flag and the pledge of allegiance. We hope that if you are not able to join us physically, you will join with us in prayer at the time wherever you may be.
Finally, in an effort to show our families of those serving in the armed forces that we are thinking of them, we invite the students to add "something red" to their uniforms each Wednesday. A red hair ribbon, red socks, a red belt, a flag button or a piece of red ribbon added to the blue and white school uniform can be a small reminder of our thoughts and prayers for them at this time.
May we continue to be people of prayer in this difficult time. May we be people of peace to all we meet. May God continue to bless us as we pray and work together.
