Dear Parents and Guardians,
You know it is a busy month when. you get a mid-month newsletter update There are a few more things happening in these final days before our Christmas holidays.
The children have already brought home (we hope) the information letter about our Christmas program next Monday and Tuesday. Monday's dress rehearsal at 1:15 gives us a chance to go through our entire program and put the pieces together. Students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 will be in uniform for this practice. Our sixth graders will be the only group in costume. Friends and relatives are welcome to come.
On Tuesday, December 18th, we will have two performances of our Christmas Program, "Mary's Gift." This is an original play written by sixth grade teacher Colleen Kavanagh. You should have already received your tickets (4 for the 9:00 am performance and 2 for the 6:30p.m performance) when you received your information letter about the program. Because all students in PreSchool through Grade 6 have an opportunity to be part of the program, this is truly a Christmas gift from all of us!
Picture retakes will be done on Wednesday, December 19th at 8:15. Families' who wish their child to have retakes must return the packet of pictures that they have already received. Students who were absent on the day of pictures may also have their pictures taken at this time. Please call the school office for further information.
WELL, THEY DID IT! The children of Nativity BVM School have met their goal of 7,O00 points! Our FROG plan (Fun Reaching Our Goal) has certainly been a success. Mark your calendars and come join in the fun....on Wednesday, December 19th at 2:15 we will meet in the gym to celebrate our success! And yes, I WILL KISS A LIVE FROG! We hope that you will be able to join us for this fun celebration!
Thursday, December 20th is our final day of school. As has been our custom, we will have free dress but we encourage everyone to wear at least a little green and/or a little red! Again, know that you are welcome for our 9:00 a.m. prayer service and sing-along as well as our "socials" in the classrooms following recess (about 10:50). Dismissal is at NOON for all children and there is no after school care provided.
Know that you and your families will be remembered in prayer during these Christmas days. May God continue to bless you with health, happiness and peace. Merry Chtistmas and a blessed and peace-filled new year!
