April 1, 2011 Dear Parents and Guardians, Although April will be a short month due to our Easter vacation, we have many special events and activities packed into those few short weeks. The annual Diocesan Track Meet, sponsored by Nativity BVM School, will be held at St. Patrick’s High School this coming Thursday, beginning at 5:00 p.m. We always need help with setting up the field for the events or serving as an “official,” so if you would like to help, please send a note to school and Mrs. Shemper will get in touch with you. ALL families are welcome to attend the meet, whether or not your child is a participant. (There is an entry fee of $1.00 for all adults and $.50 for children who are not participants.) We are pleased that seven elementary schools will be participating this year! On Wednesday, April 20th, we will have our annual school Field Day. This is a fun, exciting event and we will need your help in cheering the children on and in helping as an official. The events begin at 9:30 for preschool and 10:00 for all other students. Mrs. Lyons and her third grade class will again present a special prayer opportunity – the dramatization of the Stations of the Cross. This prayer will be offered on Monday, April 18th at 6:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, April 19th at 9:00 a.m. on the school grounds. We hope that you will be able to take advantage of this opportunity to pray and reflect on this portion of the life of Jesus. On Holy Thursday, April 21st, our three year old class (and Mrs. Jackie and Mrs. Kim) will lead the dramatization of the Stations of the Cross at 9:00 a.m. in the gym. All are welcome to attend. Registration continues to be very strong for the 2011-2012 school year. Thank you for all that you have done to encourage others to consider our school! YOU are our best PR! Although we are nearing the end of the school year, we will continue to teach and work with your child until the very last day of school. Please let us know if there is anything that we can do to help your child do his or her very best! May God continue to bless you and the members of your family with the graces that you most need! Know that you are in my prayer each and every day. God bless you!
